Questions about Certificate

2021-11-02

Question: What kind of Certificate does your factory has?

Answer: Our Investment Casting factory has ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and PED+AD 2000 Merkblatt W0 Certificate.

Question: What is IATF 16949:2016 Certificate?

Answer: IATF 16949:2016 is the global technical specification and quality management standard for the automotive industry based on ISO 9001:2015. In October 2016, IATF 16949:2016 was published by the IATF and therefore supersedes and replaces the current ISO/TS 16949:2009, defining the requirements of a quality management system for organizations in the automotive industry.

IATF 16949:2016 is covering the requirements for the effective operation of quality management systems (QMS). This standard is closely related to the critical business and is therefore mandatory requirement for many OEMs and suppliers in automotive industry.

Although IATF 16949:2016 is no longer an ISO standard for quality management systems that can be implemented independently. It will be as a complement to ISO 9001:2015 and implemented in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015 through the use of high-rise structures common to the ISO standard, be consistent with other major management system standards.

Our factory is certified by IATF 16949:2016 from 2018.

Question: What is PED+AD 2000 Merkblatt W0 Certificate?

Answer: PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) is a mandatory regulation issued by European Union for basic safety Requirements for pressure equipment to maintain the safety level of pressure equipment in the EU. The PED Directive covers the design, manufacture, inspection, and raw materials of pressure equipment with a maximum allowable pressure greater than 0.5bar. Depending on the risk category of the product, you can select different module combinations to meet THE PED requirements.

From 28 May 2002, Pressure Equipment products exported to the European Union must be CE certified in accordance with Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC.  In June 2014, the European Union issued the latest Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, which will become mandatory on 19 July 2016 and replace the old Directive 97/23/EC.

AD 2000 Merkblatt are prepared by the seven associations (Fachverband Dampfkessel-, Behälter- und Rohrleitungsbau e.v. Düsseldorf, Hauptverband der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften e.V., Sankt Augustin, Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. (VCI), Frankfurt/Main, Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. (VDMA), Fachgemeinschaft Verfahrenstechnische Maschine und Apparate, Frankfurt/Main, Stahlinstitut VDEh, Düsseldorf, VGB PowerTech e.V., Essen, Verband der TÜV e.V. (VdTÜV), Berlin) in Germany, who together form the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Druckbehälter”. The AD 2000 Merkblatt contain safety requirements to be met under normal operating conditions. If above-normal loadings are to be expected during the operation of the pressure vessel, this shall be taken into account by meeting special requirements.

The W series of AD 2000 Merkblatt apply to metallic materials for use in different product forms for the manufacture of pressure bearing components of pressure vessels. It regulates the application and the requirements of various product forms such as plates, strips or tubes including chemical composition, mechanical properties, testing conditions and design characteristics.

In general, the PED+AD 2000 Merkblatt W0 Certificate is the Certificate of safety requirements for pressure equipment. Our factory is certified by PED+AD 2000 Merkblatt W0 from 2019.
