Start up of business and operate under the name of CMEC Chongqing
1994
1994 is an important year for China, as well as Stone Industries. 11 January 1994, Chinese government made a decision to further reform the system of foreign trade which had been totally controlled and planned by Chinese Government. Right after this decision, the founder of Stone Industries took one of the export departments of Chongqing Mechanical and Equipment Imp. & Exp. Corporation, which was a big state owned corporation and had the sole right to import and export mechanical stuffs in Chongqing, nowadays the 4th biggest city of China. After this purchasing , although we were still running business in the name of Chongqing Mechanical and Equipment Imp. & Exp. Corporation as its subsidiary, we gained the right to take all the business risks and share the business benefits by turning up certain amount of annual profit to government. So we started to be somehow independent in this year, which was also the virtual meaning of Chinese reform on Foreign Trade in 1994.
Moving of Company from Chongqing to Chengdu
1997
1997, our contract with Chongqing Mechanical and Equipment Imp. & Exp. Corporation was closed. To have better operation condition, we moved our business operation to Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province, 3 hours away by car from Chongqing. At that time, it was still only the stated owned corporations who had the rights to do international business so that we had to sign a contract with Chengdu International Corporation for Economic and Technical Cooperation and operate under this name.
Operate in our own name
2002
2002 is a decisive year for import and export of China, as well as Stone Industries. This year, China enters the World Trade Organization, which paved the way for the private companies in China to do the business of Import and Export. In this way, we did not need to operate under the name of other big state owned companies, but in our own name.
Set up of Yuhuan Focus Valve Co., Ltd.
2005
2005 we set up Yuhuan Focus Valve Co., Ltd., a manufacturing joint venture with one of our business friends in Yuhuan, Zhejiang province, which has been producing since then brass pressings and machining of the pressings. This step into manufacturing changed our business from pure trade to manufacturing.
Set Up Joint Venture Wuhu Taiji Machinery
2006
2006, we set up Wuhu Taiji Machinery Co., Ltd., which produces engineering parts by Die Forging and CNC Machining
Start up of Techpeak Machinery Co., Ltd.
2007
2007, we purchased a patch of land in an industrial development zone in Chengdu and build it up as a CNC machining shop, Stone Techpeak Machinery Co., Ltd.
2008
We closed our partnership with our business friends on Investment Casting and set up production line in Techpeak Machinery Co., Ltd.
